SARAH “BETTY” ELLEN YURKOVITCH
Sarah “Betty” Ellen Yurkovitch, 102, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026. She was born September 8, 1923 in Bridgeport, Ohio to William Porter and Carrie Heusel.
Sarah was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed doing ceramics. The most important job she had was being the absolute best mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Sarah was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Michael; daughter, Susan Jane Mager; and son, Ronald Mark; her parents; her brothers, Howard, Paul, Jim, Bill, Art, John, Irvin and Chuck, her sisters, Lelia, Evelyn, Ruth, Mary and Grace.
Sarah is survived by her son, Michael E. (Joan); daughter, Nancy J. Habdo; son, Thomas A. (Jennie); grandchildren, Robert Mager, Stephanie Walton, Angela Marshall, Casey, Brittney, Brett, Trent, Jason, Justin and Matthew and 15 great-grandchildren; plus many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled for 11:30AM to 1PM with the Celebration of Life Service starting at 1PM, Monday January 26th at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 2405 Harbor Blvd. Port Charlotte, FL.
