AMANDA DUDLEY
Amanda Danielle Dudley, 42, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at her residence.
Amanda was born on August 30, 1983 in Wheeling WV. She is the daughter of Daniel Lee Dudley and Pamela (Paige) Dudley, both of Wellsburg, WV.
Amanda was a proud member of the Wellsburg Orange Knight and the Brooke High School Marching Band, graduating from Brooke High School in 2001. She later continued her education at West Virginia University and WV Northern, always quietly pushing herself forward.
Over the years, Amanda wore many hats. She worked at the former Anchor Room in Follansbee and at Eat’n Park as a waitress, where her calm nature and easy presence made people feel comfortable. For many years, she served as the Clerk for the City of Wellsburg–a role she truly took pride in. One of her proudest moments was having the honor of serving the city alongside her father during his time as Mayor of Wellsburg, a memory she cherished deeply.
Amanda was a faithful and devoted member of Henderson Chapel AME Church in Wellsburg, where her faith and sense of community were important parts of her life. She will be remembered for her chill attitude, her love of music, and her quiet joy in spending time watching Netflix and getting lost in a good book. Amanda had a gentle spirit and a way of simply being present that meant more than words.
Though orange and brown ran through her family’s blood as devoted Cleveland Browns fans, Amanda was always known for her love of the royal color purple–a color that fit her perfectly, reflecting her calm strength, creativity, and individuality.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Amanda is survived by her brother, Daniel “DD” Kenneth Dudley and his wife, Shevonne, two nieces and a nephew, Saoirse, Major and Mayhem Dudley, who loved their Auntie Manders, five aunts and an uncle, Jackie Paige Grant, Anna “Pinky” Paige, Coleen Binford, Starlon Dudley, Margree Campbell and Ruth Clay and a host of cousins.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, February 9, 2026 from 11:00 AM until time of Homegoing Service at 1:00 PM at the Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, WV (304)737-3551 with her pastor, Reverend Georgia Morrow, officiating.
Private interment will be held at Kadesh Chapel on her beloved aunt Barb’s plot.
