CAROLYN G. MILLER
Carolyn Grace Miller of Salisbury, MD and formerly of Follansbee, WV passed away on January 27, 2026 and is now reunited with her beloved husband of 60 years, Donald Michael Miller, her dear mother, Ellen Tomlinson Goudy, and her siblings. She is survived by her only daughter, Kim Nechay, and son in law, Frank Nechay; granddaughters, Madilyn Nechay, Abbigail Nechay and Hanna Tilghman (Adam) and a soon to arrive great granddaughter; her sisters in law, Anne Miller (WV), Dolores Miller (SC) and Leonie Miller (WV) and brother in law, Horace Drewett (OH); many nieces and nephews and their beautiful families; and, her cherished pen pal of 63 years, Yoshiko Sekido of Aichi, Japan.
Carolyn was born August 4, 1945 and lived her life with an open heart and a nurturing spirit, guided by a strong and steady faith. She found joy in caring for others and had a natural way of making everyone feel loved.
Her greatest joy was her family. She devoted her life to caring for them as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.
She possessed a fabulous sense of humor and an enduring positivity, even through the many hardships she faced thoughout her life. She will be remembered by all for her warmth, compassionate heart, and bright pink nail polish.
Carolyn never met a stranger and loved to meet any baby or dog she encountered. She cherished quiet moments with word search puzzles, Hallmark movies, caring for her many plants and neighborhood birds, and vanilla chai lattes. She so enjoyed the time she spent with friends at the MAC Senior Center and playing bingo at the Avalon Retirement Community.
She will forever be missed and cherished by her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday February 27, 2026 at 11:00am at Holloway Funeral Home 501 Snow Hill Rd. Salisbury, Md 21804, with a visitation from 10:00 – 11:00am. There will be Celebration of Life service at a later date in Wheeling, Wv.
