CLARICE KESTNER
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clarice Ann Kestner, who went to be with the Lord on February 6, 2026, at the age of 90.
Clarice Ann, otherwise known as Mawmaw by relatives and non-relatives alike, never knew a stranger. She was born on May 27, 1935, in Limestone, WV, and grew up on a farm, where she fostered her lifelong love for cooking and caring for others. She was a homemaker and a retired cook for many years at Sherrard Junior High and John Marshall High School. She was a lifelong member of Limestone Presbyterian Church. Clarice Ann was a constant volunteer at the Limestone Community Building, especially at the fish fries, where her peanut butter sheet cakes were a perennial favorite. She was an avid supporter of the Seeing Hand Camp in Bethesda, Ohio. She also enjoyed bowling, Bingo, playing cards, and spending time with friends. However, she treasured nothing more than spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Clarice Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Donald William Kestner; daughter Denise (Kestner) Evick; infant son, William E. Kestner; sons-in-law Tony (Denise) Evick and Chris (Denise) Grimm; sister Barbara Coffield; and brother Allen Blaine Coffield.
