CLYDE HOCHSTRASSER SR.
Clyde Earl Hochstrasser Sr., 90, of Paden City, WV formerly of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died on Sunday, February 15, 2026, in Wheeling Hospital.
He was born in Bellaire, Ohio, on November 7, 1935, a son of the late Harold and Katheryn Lucas Hochstrasser.
Clyde was a retired maintenance supervisor from the Ormet Corporation. He was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church in St. Clairsville and had served in the U.S. Naval Reserves.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Katheryn Hadley, Betty Bennett, Etta Benish, Eleanor Heskett and Clara Dankworth; a brother, Harold Hochstrasser Jr.; and a dear friend, Rose E. Wright.
Clyde is survived by two sons, Clyde E. (Kathy) Hochstrasser Jr. and Brian L. (Stacey) Hochstrasser; grandchildren, Amber (Bill) Roeder, Kayla Hochstrasser, Heather (Mike) Hodge and Kevin Hochstrasser, Roy and Melissa Anderson Litton, Stacy Johnson, Justin and Chasity Miller and Jason Litton; great grandchildren, Caden Hochstrasser, Jordan and Jianna Roeder, Leah Bridger, Scotty, Jasmine, Emory and Maddox Hadley, David, Alexa, and Blake Devonna Gray, Gavin and Hannah Johnson, Dakota, Elizabeth, Amina, Izaiah, Rowen and Makia Litton and Eli Miller; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio, where services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Laurie Armstrong officiating. The burial will follow in Belmont County Memorial Park Cemetery.
