SOPHIA BROWN

She was born December 15, 1922; the daughter of the late George and Sophia (Kivko) Scherbo.

Sophia was the co-owner of the Victoria Theater; attended the Moundsville Russian Orthodox Church and Moundsville High School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Nile Brown; brother, Steve Scherbo; five sisters, Mary Scherbo, Helen Baker, Anna McCulleon, Julia Riesbeck, Melania Simon.

Survivors include daughter, Merry Joy Jaeger of Wheeling: son, Earl Nile Brown, Jr. of Wheeling; five grandchildren, Wendy, T.J., Misty, Jessica and Scott; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 26th from 9am-11am at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave. Moundsville, WV with funeral service to follow with Rev. Russel Buchanan officiating.

Interment at Riverview Cemetery in Moundsville to follow.
