ARLENA HINKLE
Arlena Rae Hinkle, age 79, of Sardis, OH, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born August 1, 1946, in Nicholas Co., WV, a daughter of the late Dennis and Annabelle (Cutlip) Shaver.
She was a devoted wife and homemaker, who loved caring for her kids, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, a certified cosmetologist and a member of the Living Water Baptist Church Sardis, OH.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Franklin Hinkle, and brother, Gary Shaver.
Survivors include a son, Frank (Jackie) Hinkle of Sardis, OH; a daughter, LeVonne (Tom) Tharp of Sardis, OH; her twin sister, Arlana Waselchalk of White Sulphur Springs, WV; four grandchildren, Danyelle (Jack) Tharp, Thomas (Brittni) Tharp, Desiree’ (Mitch) Stewart and Jared (Nina) Hinkle; 6 great grandchildren, Lily, Braylee, Cora, Lydia, Scarlett and Marley.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-8 pm at the Living Water Baptist Church 37453 State Route 7 Sardis, OH, where services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am with Pastor James Ng officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery Sardis, OH.
