CONNIE LOU LYONS
Connie Lou Lyons, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on May 17, 1947, Connie was known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family, church, and community.
A devoted homemaker, Connie’s life was centered around the love she shared with her family. She was a natural caregiver who found immense joy in nurturing others. Her passion for gardening was evident; tending to her plants brought her great happiness and further exemplified her nurturing spirit.
Connie was a devout Christian and dedicated member of Fork Ridge Christian Church, where she played the piano for many years. She cherished her church family and faithfully served her community through her involvement. Connie also volunteered her time at the Soup Kitchen of Greater Wheeling, where her kind and compassionate nature touched many lives.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Mary Gladys “Peggy” (Aston) Kuhn, and her beloved husband, Robert Lyons, Sr. Connie’s legacy continues through her surviving family: her son, Robert (Michelle) Lyons, Jr., and daughter, Cheryl (Robert) Williams; her brother, Kenneth Kuhn; her sisters, Linda (Leonard) Wellman, and Karen McMillan. She leaves behind seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and an extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever cherish her memory.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Connie’s life during visitation on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, WV. Pastor Wes Howsare will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Fork Ridge Christian Church Cemetery in Glen Easton, WV.
