KATERINA POSTLEWAIT
Katerina Kay Postlewait, (Trina), 71, passed away at a family home with loved ones on February 26th.
Trina was born in Milton, WV on June 22nd 1954 to the late Wilma Oser (Harry) and the late James L Lawson (Millie).
Trina retired from Temple Shalom in Wheeling where she had worked as the office manager for over a decade. She had been very proud of the work she accomplished there and the lasting friendships she made. One cherished friendship was Rabbi Beth Jacowitz Chottiner who offered words of comfort for Trina and her family on her last day.
After retirement, spending time with her family brought Trina the most joy in this lifetime. Attending her grandchildren’s school and sporting events was always a priority and proud moment for her. She truly was a one-of-a-kind nana to all her grandchildren.
Trina, an avid coffee drinker for many years, shared the most important cups amongst friends in AA. Her 33 years of sobriety allowed her to live the best possible life for herself and her family. She touched many lives while helping others and staying sober herself with a grateful heart and believing in a higher power.
Trina’s infectious smile, contagious laughter, and warm hugs will be missed by her family, friends, and all her mutual friends of Bill W.
She is survived by her eldest son, Eric, and wife Tina. Grandchildren Erica, Peyton, and Calvin. Her youngest son, Jonathan (Bub) and grandson, Taven. Her great grandchildren Elijah and Khalyla Fitzsimmons. Her siblings include Jerry Hager, Dianna Ward, Debbie Heckman, Brent Flowers, Rhonda Risden, and all her nieces and nephews.
Katerina has continued to help others even in death by being a donor of the West Virginia University Human Gift registry. Per her wishes no traditional services will be held, instead a celebration of life is being planned in her honor by the family. Condolences may be made to the family at www.kepnerfuneral.com.
