Constance “Connie” Lou Petrini Swann, 89, of Wheeling, WV, died Monday, April 6, 2026 at home.
She was born July 29, 1936, in Wheeling, daughter of the late Luigi and Marianna Magistro Petrini.
Connie devoted her life to her family. She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish and the Corpus Christi Ladies’ Guild.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Shelley Marie Johnson; granddaughter, Cortney Lynn Johnson; grandson, Conner James Swann; brothers, Sam, Carl and Mario Petrini; and sisters, Virginia Mennillo and Rose DiBias.
She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, James E. Swann, Sr; sons, James E. (Greta) Swann, Jr. of Wheeling and Sam (Susan) Swann of Middletown, MD; daughter, Sally Jo (Douglas) Johnson of Jackson, NJ; son-in-law, Robert (Lynda) Johnson of Potomac, MD; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM with Deacon Doug Breiding officiating at Kepner Funeral Home, Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Ave., Wheeling (304-277-2722).
Entombment to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
