JO ANNE ‘JODY’ HASKINS

She was born April 9, 1937 in Middlebourne, WV, daughter of the Ruth Catherine (Fiber) and Homer Bryan Lemasters.

A graduate of West Liberty University with a BA Education, Jody taught kindergarten and elementary school children in the Ohio Valley for decades. She was a member of the East Richland Friends Church, Moundsville Women’s Club; WV Ride & Eat Bike Club; Marshall County Historical Society, and participated in many community groups.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Alfred Haskins; brother, Robert “Clem” Lemasters; and grandson, Jason Bryan Haskins.

Family includes Dawn A. Haskins- Powell, Mark Bryan (Debra) Haskins, and Michael Alan (Pamela Kay Stricklin- Hardman) Haskins; grandchildren Heather Lynn Haskins, Devin James Powell, Holly Jo Haskins, Christopher Michael Haskins and Benjamin Michael Haskins; great-grand- children Landon Haskins and Adalynn Yoder; brothers C. Roger (Linda) Lemasters and John Alan (Irene) Lemasters; and many nieces and nephews.

Jody was a beloved and delightful Mom, Nana, sister and companion to many who deeply loved and admired her Christian faith, charming grace, generous warmth, devotion to family, deep wisdom, and playful humor and wit.

Family will receive friends Saturday, April 25 at 9:30am until the service at 11:30am at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave Moundsville, WV with Pastor Jerry Wenger officiating.

Private family interment will follow at Halcyon Hills.
