Nancy Borsuk
Nancy Louise Andrich Borsuk, 87, born on August 5, 1938, in Glen Dale, West Virginia, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at her home. She was the cherished daughter of Thomas Andrich and Agnes Drasennia Andrich.
Nancy graduated from Moundsville High School in 1956 and went on to attend Marshall University, graduating in 1960. During her time there, she was a proud member of the marching band, reflecting her enthusiasm and school spirit.
Nancy began her teaching career in Michigan in 1960 before returning him to West Virginia, where she began teaching at Glen Dale Elementary School in 1961. She went on to dedicate more than three decades to education, leaving a lasting impact on generations of students and becoming known for her patience, kindness, and unwavering commitment to learning. Her faith and community were also central to her life. Nancy was an active volunteer at St. Jude Catholic Church, where she generously gave her time and are to others.
On June 16, 1962, Nancy married the love of her life, Frank Albert Borsuk. Together, they built a life centered on devotion, hard work and family. Nancy was a loving and dedicated mother to her five children: Nan (Brad) Hartley of Wheeling, WV, Michele Holliday of Glen Dale, WV, Frank (Jane) Borsuk, Jr. of Wheeling, WV, Joe Borsuk of Sterling, VC and Catherine Whittard of Ashburn, VA.
Nancy’s greatest joy came from her family. She was a proud grandmother to Ulayna Hartley, Ethan Hartley, Aggie Holliday, Anna Holliday, Andrew Holliday, Ben Holliday, Michael Borsuk and Lauren Whittard. her love extended warmly across generations, and she found deep fulfillment in watching her family grow.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Albert Borsuk and her siblings, Anthony Andrich, Mary Andrich Vickers and Thomas Andrich.
Nancy will be remembered for her quiet strength, her generous spirit, her dedication to education and her unwavering love for her family. Her life was a reflection of devotion – to her students, her faith, her husband and her children. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends will be received Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville from 12 pm until a vigil service at 4 pm. A graveside service and interment will be Monday, April 20 at 10 am at Riverview Cemetery with Fr. Doney officiating.
