NORMA CLARK
Norma Clark
Norma J. Clark, 96, passed away on Tuesday April 14, 2026 in Cumming, Georgia.
Norma was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend.
Norma was born on February 18, 1930 to Carl Fischer and Anna (Dulion) Fischer. She was a 1948 graduate of Wheeling High School and worked as a secretary for the Wheeling Electric Company until she married the love of her life, Charles “Chuck” F. Clark Jr., in 1951. They were married for 62 years and had two children, Charles Douglas “Doug” and Danielle Jeanette. Norma was a devoted homemaker and highly creative in sewing, cake decorating and whatever other craft caught her fancy. When grandkids started coming along, she threw herself into being the best grandma and spoiling them as much as she could.
Chuck and Norma moved to Cumming, Georgia in 2012 to be near their family. It was the joy of Norma’s life to host her family for holidays (especially Thanksgiving), Super Bowl parties and sleepovers for the grandkids. For the last five years of her life, Norma resided at the Oaks at Hampton Assisted Living, where she made many friends, participated in every activity, and ended up with her picture on the Oaks’ Facebook page nearly every week.
Norma is preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Clark; parents, Carl and Anna Fischer; siblings, Marietta King, Roy Fischer, Nancy Joann Orr and Paul Fisher; and daughter-in-law, Deborah Clark.
She is survived by her children, Charles Douglas Clark and Danielle (Paul) Schmidt; grandchildren, Sara Clark, Erica (Will) Jones, Abigail (Daniel) Marvel, and Benjamin Schmidt; sister, Connie White; and many nieces and nephews.
Norma will be greatly missed, and we’re grateful in the hope that she’s reunited with her beloved husband and safe in the arms of her Savior.
Services will be held on Thursday, April 23, at Kepner Funeral Home, 900 National Road in Wheeling (304-232-2732), with visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of service beginning at 1 p.m., with Pastor Timothy Orr officiating. Interment immediately following at Greenwood Cemetery.
Donations can be made in honor of Norma to Caritas Hospice Care, 800 Old Dawson Village Road Suite 20, Dawsonville, Georgia, 30534.
