STEPHEN McFARLAND
Stephen A. “Steve” McFarland, 70, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026, at home.
He was born in Wheeling, WV, on July 28, 1955, son of Nancy (Day) McFarland and the late Arthur McFarland.
Steve was a veteran of the US Air Force and a Methodist. He was a retired welder from the Mitchel Plant. Was a member of the IOLA Club, Cave Club and EG Eagles. He was an avid Harley Davidson Motorcyclist and enjoyed hunting, fishing, family and friends.
Steve is survived by his wife, Melanie (Creighton) McFarland; son, Max (Angel) McFarland; sisters, Judy (Rev. Neil Leftwich) McFarland, Debbie (James) Lepage, Joyce (Tim) Mudge and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial gathering on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 10 am until the time of service at 11am at Elm Grove United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions can be made to the Ohio County Animal Shelter, Animal Urgent Care Center, or Wheeling Soup Kitchen.
