AUDRA BROWN

She was the daughter of Thomas Allen Spragg and Edna Mae Orndoff. Audra was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Carlton Brown, with whom she shared many cherished years of marriage.

She is survived by her four children, Allen “Bill” Brown, Cynthia Huffman (Bruce Huffman), Charles Brown (Mary Brown), and Christina Somay (Metin Somay); her eight grandchildren, Brandy Brown (Kimberly Monteleone-Brown), Ashley Brown Hochstetler (Jeremy Hochstetler), Sean Huffman (Leslie Huffman), Mackenzie Huffman, Ziya Somay, Colin Brown (Kasey Brown), Nathan Brown, and David Brown; and her many great-grandchildren and great-great-grand children.

Audra will be remembered for her determination, devotion, passion for travel, and the deep love she gave to her family across generations. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and the family she so deeply cherished.

All who knew and loved Audra are welcome to join the family for visitation on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a service celebrating her life at 1:00 p.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville, WV 26041.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to SEEC, an organization whose services have enriched the life of her dear grandson, Ziya, and countless others. SEEC supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in building lives of choice, purpose, and belonging across Maryland and Washington, D.C.
