BROOKS ROSSEL
Brooks Gerald Rossel, 84, of Moundsville WV, passed away on May 5, 2026, at his home.
He was born on October 19, 1941, in Hagerstown, MD, to the late Gerald and Vera (McMillan) Rossel.
He was a proud veteran of the USMC serving from 1959-65. He retired after 36 years at Bayer/Covestro, New Martinsville WV, where he worked in welding, refrigeration/ instrumentation, auto mechanics, and heavy equipment operation.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Patricia Suzanne (Myers) Rossel.
Survivors include daughters Kristina Rossel, Cheryl Rossel (Jack Kincaid), son Kenneth Rossel; granddaughter Brooke Rossel (Wesley Smith), whom he raised, grandsons Jeremiah and Donovan Kincaid; great grandson, Gatlin Smith; sister Brenda (Sid) Sheaffer; special friend, Sue Starnes; and his dogs, T-Bird and Remi.
Brooks was a proud Marine, family historian, union worker, and animal lover. His enjoyment came from wheeling and dealing for a fair trade; family and friends would never know what he would own next. He loved working on and driving fast cars. He planned adventures to see where history happened; reminiscing about his time in Italy as a young Marine Embassy Guard would always bring a smile to his face and some new story.
Godspeed to the man who lived a full life known as Brooks, BG, Corporal, Husband, Dad, Pap, and Friend. May he find pain-free peace filled with love and happiness.
