DONNA JONES

She was born March 12, 1971, in New Martinsville, WV, a daughter of the late Friend “Sonny” Ross Cecil and Doris Jean Manion Cecil.

She was a former employee of Reynolds Memorial Hospital and pet groomer at Happy Tails Pet Salon and a member of Paden Fork Christian Church New Martinsville, WV. Donna loved animals, going to the mountains and the beach. She was also an avid reader and loved all kinds of music.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hank Henderson and brother-in-law, Larry Henry.

Survivors include her significant other, Charlie Tanner of Westerville, OH; her beloved dog, Kenzie; two sisters, Barbara (Dave) Blazer of Glen Dale, WV and Janet (Michael Young) Henry of Williamstown, WV; a brother, Matthew Cecil (Cathy Purpura) (whom she considered a sister) of New Martinsville, WV; special aunt, Sharon Manion; several nieces and nephews, and special friend, Debbie Hicks, and other close friends she considered family.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 1:00 pm until time of memorial service at 3:00 pm at the Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory 751 Third St. New Martinsville, WV, with Pastor Dale Dudgeon officiating.

Interment will be held at a later time.
