JANET MIDDLETON

She was born June 10, 1936, in Martins Ferry, OH, the daughter of the late Teddie and Jessie Johns Allen.

Janet retired from the WV Department of Environmental Protection (WVDEP) where she was an administrative assistant. She was a member of C3 – Christ Community Church. She was an animal lover, avid golfer and cherished her friends and family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Eric Middleton; brother, Charles Allen; and sisters, Geneva Kossuth and Loretta Harrison.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great- great-nieces and a great-great-nephew.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 1 PM at Christ United Methodist Church, 1232 National Rd., Wheeling, WV 26003 (304-242-2455).

The family would like to thank the staff at The Welty Home and Liza’s Place for the wonderful care they gave Janet.
