JEAN DiCLEMENTE

Jean (Sanzeri) DiClemente Born February 9, 1932 in Wheeling, WV.

She is the daughter of the late Louis J. Sanzeri and Elsie M. (Dennis) Sanzeri. Jean was a retired employee of the Ohio County Board of Education in 1999 as a Supervisory Teacher’s Aide IV in Kindergarten. After graduating from Triadelphia High School in 1949, she was employed as Secretary for the firm WV Rating Bureau. During this tenure, she was very active in the National Secretaries Association and was honored by the Wheeling Chapter as the first Secretary of the Year. She also held the office of Treasurer for two terms, and numerous chairmanships. She was a Charter member of Lady Elks No. 28. She was a member at First Presbyterian Church in Wheeling, and taught a Sunday School class for twenty years during the time of her sons growing up. Later she returned to Stone Presbyterian Church, her home church after her husband passed away.

She was also a member of the Women’s Club of Wheeling, Thursday Music Club, and Ohio County Association of Retired School employees. She was an avid bridge player for most of her life, and enjoyed playing tennis, as well as other activities.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. DiClemente, Sr., and her sister Mary Ann (Sanzeri) Stolarczyk.

Surviving are her two sons, Robert Jr, (57), and David (54), both of Wheeling, and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be at Stone Presbyterian Church, at 25 East Cove Avenue, Wheeling, WV on May 23rd, time to be announced later on Kepner’s website.
