Jean Fehr

Jean A. Fehr, 97, of Bethlehem (Wheeling), WV, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026.

She was born May 12, 1929, in Wheeling, WV, daughter of the late Ralph and Irene Ullom Troy (Paytos).

Jean was a graduate of Wheeling High School and was the bookkeeper of Walgreens Drug Store in downtown Wheeling. Jean was a devoted wife and mother, with her greatest joy being raising her three children and keeping a beautiful home for her family. Later in life, Jean enjoyed operating her son's business, Uniforms Ltd, with her husband Robert, during their retirement years.

Jean was a charter member and Past President of Beth-Acres Garden Club, and Past President of the Blue Goose Insurance Association Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a former member of Moundsville Country Club, and long-time member of St. Paul's Evangelical Church.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Fehr, Sr., a sister, Betty Troy Hathaway, and two brothers, Russell and Harry Troy.

Jean is survived by her three children: Robert A. Fehr, Jr. and his wife, Pamela, of Scio, OH; Russell A. Fehr of Wheeling, WV; and Cynthia J. Fehr Stahanczyk, and her husband, Bryan, of Bethlehem, WV; her two grandchildren and greatest joy, Brittany Morgan Fehr and Chayse Robert Stahanczyk, both of Bethlehem, WV; and her beloved dog, Sid.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 21, from 2-4 and 6-8 at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 1 Ridgecrest Road, Bethlehem (Wheeling), where funeral services will be held on Friday, May 22, at 11 a.m.

Interment will follow at Halcyon Hills Memorial Park, Sherrard, WV.
