It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George Jeffery Hull, lovingly known as Jeff. Jeff was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother whose love for his family was the center of his life. He passed away leaving behind countless memories that will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
Jeff was born on January 5, 1971 in Glen Dale, WV, and passed away on May 6, 2026, at home in Benwood, WV. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James F. Hull and Lula E. Hull, as well as George V. Auth and Freda Auth.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Hull; his father, James D. Hull; and his mother, Georgia M. Hull. He also leaves behind his beloved children: Lauren (Aaron) Day, Zachary (Kaitlin) VanDyne, Alexis (Kolton) VanDyne, Lacey (Billy) Kalany, and Zachary Burdette.
Jeff was a proud grandfather to Brooks VanDyne, Kade Day, Layne Day, Luke Day, and Elijah VanDyne, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.
He is also survived by his brothers, Jim (Lori) Hull and Justin (Melissa) Hull, along with his uncle Larry Auth and many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.
Jeff will always be remembered for his love of racing cars, caring for his cows, spending summer days swimming with his family, and most of all for the time he spent with his children and grandchildren. His greatest happiness came from simply being surrounded by the people he loved most.
Jeff’s memory will live on through the stories, laughter, and love he shared with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, May 11, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Homes Benwood-McMechen Chapel, 214 Marshall St. Procession to Mt.
