Julia Hudson
Our cherished mother, Julia Eileen Hudson, peacefully passed away on May 1, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Chris Brown Jr. and Laura Jane Taylor Brown. Julia will be remembered for her kindness, her sharp wit, and her guiding principles of peace and love.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas L. Johnson, Donald Smith, Eugene Edward Brown, and her sister, Helen Louise Spencer.
She is survived by her children, Jamal Hudson and Lavetta Hudson, as well as her siblings, Leroy Johnson, (Reene) Cora Morton, Robert I. Brown, and Phyllis A. Smith. Julia also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was a beloved aunt and great-aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to her sister-friend, Margaret Fisher Harrison, for 56 years of steadfast friendship and support.
A celebration of life will be organized at a later date.
