LOUIS DAILEY, JR.

Louis Dailey Jr., 75, of Largo, Florida, passed away on March 30, 2026.

He was born on March 1, 1951, in Follansbee, West Virginia, to Ruthe Baxter Dailey and Louis Dailey Sr.. Louis was a proud graduate of Follansbee High School, Class of 1969, where he was a standout athlete, lettering in cross country, track, and wrestling. In 1968, he earned the distinction of State Champion in wrestling. He went on to attend West Liberty College. Throughout his life, Louis built a career rooted in antiques and real estate, owning and managing rental properties in both Follansbee, West Virginia and Middletown, Ohio. He had a sharp eye for value and a natural instinct for finding wanted items. He enjoyed collecting antiques, working on clocks, and buying and trading items. Known for his spontaneous nature, he lived his life with adventure.

On March 8, 1980, he married the love of his life, Janice “Jan” Dailey in Middletown, Ohio, where they made their home for nearly 40 years and raised their two sons.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Janice “Jan” Dailey; sons, Daniel Dailey (Brittany) and Matthew Dailey; his grandchildren, Ashton Dailey and Danny Dawson; his siblings, James Dailey, Shirley (John) Schubenski, Margaret Dailey, Carol (Tom) Ealy, and Ann (Tom) Chmielewski; his sister-in-law, Lynda Boaz; as well as several nieces and nephews. Lou was predeceased by his sister-in- law, Betty Sunderhaus.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 16, 2026, at Serenity Funeral Home, located at 13401 Indian Rocks Road, Largo, FL 33774, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The family will begin receiving guests at 11 a.m., with speakers starting at 12 p.m.
