Thalman, Patricia Rita (Weigand), 92, of Wheeling, WV passed away peacefully at Liza’s Place on May 17, 2026, exactly 13 years to the day of her husband Bill’s passing. Patricia (Pat) was born on April 26, 1934, in Benwood, WV, daughter of the late Alfred and Rose Weigand. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, William (Bill) Thalman Sr., with whom she enjoyed many wonderful memories.

Pat was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, St. Michael Catholic Church, Christian Mothers and Wheeling Hospital Auxiliary. Throughout her life, Pat’s spiritual guidance provided her great strength and peace.

She is survived by her four children: Judy Grob (Jay) of Wheeling, WV; Bill Thalman Jr. (Paula) of Canonsburg, PA; Diane Schnupp (Paul) of Chalfont, PA; and Kathy Witsberger (Larry) of Pittsburgh, PA; and her brother, Paul Weigand of Wheeling.

Pat delighted in spoiling her loving grandchildren and precious great-grand children. She is survived by grandchildren: Chad Thalman, Matt Thalman (Annie), Tegan Thalman, Kendra Thalman, Jennifer Sustik (Casey), Jason Grob, David Schnupp, Mark Schnupp (Sarah), Adam Witsberger (Ashley), Samantha Agostini (Anthony), Grant Waldron, Max Waldron; and five great-grand- children: Will, Sophia, Audrey Thalman, Callum Sustik, Ellis Witsberger; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

A graduate of both Saint Joseph Academy and Wheeling Hospital School of Nursing where she earned her nursing degree with a preference in pediatric care.

Pat especially loved spending time with family and traveling to her favorite destinations, including Seven Springs and Florida. Pat enjoyed gardening, bowling, playing cards, and cheering on her favorite teams: the Pittsburgh Steelers, the West Virginia Mountaineers, and all Wheeling Central sports. “Grandma Pat” will be fondly remembered for hosting many family gatherings, baking her legendary walnut cake, and playing continuous games of euchre.

All who knew and loved Pat are welcome to join the family for visitation on Thursday, May 21, 2026 from 3:00 to 6:30 pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling, WV where a vigil service will be held at 6:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 10:30 am at St. Michael Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
