JAMES RIGGLE SR.

James Donald Riggle Sr. 89 of Moundsville passed away Wednesday June 3, 2026, at Moundsville Health Care Center. He was born January 31, 1937, in Wheeling, a son of the late Thomas F. and Merville (Keller) Riggle.

Jim was a retired employee of Saginaw Coal Mine. He loved bowling, and was a avid Raider’s Fan.

Jim was preceded in death by his Loving wife Shirley (Nutter) Riggle in 2010, siblings Thomas, Allen, Paul, Sherman, Roland, Joseph, Roy, and Francis Riggle, Betty Adams, and Evelyn Vankirk.

He is survived by his children Donna (Rich) Moles, James Jr. (Cheryl) Riggle, Connie (Butch) Doty, Barb Dolak and Rick Heckathorn, Scott (Betty) Riggle, Charles Riggle, David (Dotty) Riggle, Lisa Riggle and Brent McGary, and Larry (Tabitha) Riggle; grandchildren, Shannon (Randy) Hanson, Butch Doty, Jamie Doty, Nichole Riggle, Rachall (Isaiah) Schultz, Larry Ray Riggle II, and Aidan Riggle, Adam (Kali) Reynolds, Chris Reynolds; great grandchildren, Hayden, and Ann, Skylar, Logan, Mayla; also several nieces and nephews.

Also survived by his companion Linda Wood of Moundsville, WV

Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Saturday June 13, 2026, from 2pm till 4pm with funeral services to be held at 3:30 pm with Rev. James Hoff officiating. Burial will take place afterwards at the Belmont Memorial Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
