Janet Roseann Scott, formerly of Wheeling, WV and recently of Palm Beach County, FL, hung up her boots for the final time on February 3, 2026. Janet was 82, born on July 14, 1943, in Wheeling WV, to Russell and Minnie (Watson) Scott. Janet's life was deeply intertwined with family, native heritage, her Appaloosa horses and love of the Ocean. She taught her children the importance of faith and looked forward to a time when the world would worship together.
Whether out riding the trails on her beloved horse, "Red", or wading in the waves at Lake Worth Beach, her passions brought her immense joy and beautiful memories with family and friends.
Janet is survived by her five children, Roseann Harris (Frank), Naomi Lowman (Rod), Frank Demerski (Vickie), Robert Demerski (Sheri), and Ramona Hunter, brothers in law, Mike Bolen and Gary Demerski, sister- in-law Pauline Oyler, her 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 3 nephews, 3 nieces, several great nephews and nieces.
Janet was proceeded in death by her parents, Russell and Minnie Scott, Her sister Naomi Joann Bolen, brother, Jerry R. Scott and sister- in-law, Carol Jean Scott. Her nephews Jerry R. Scott Jr. (Rusty) and David R. Scott. Janet was also proceeded in death by 4 husbands. Two of which are from the Wheeling area, Robert Moran and Robert Demerski.
Internment ceremony will be on July 9, 2026, at 2 p.m., at the Stone Church Ceme- tery in Elm Grove, WV.
May the trails lead Janet to her heavenly home with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
