She was born on November 2, 1949, in New Martinsville, WV, a daughter of the late Roy Junior Goddard and the late Dorothy Ellen Ebert Goddard.

Raised on a farm in Proctor, WV, Linda loved gardening, flowers, birds, butterflies, and the bees. She created and maintained beautiful flower gardens at her home all her life and loved sharing her knowledge of flowers with her children and grandchildren. She loved traveling and everything to do with Ireland, where she visited with her sister and son and made so many happy memories. She loved hot tea and baking cookies with her grandchildren, and if WVU sports were on, she was watching. But most important of all, Linda loved her family, especially her seven grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Tracy Goddard.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 56 years, Donald Stout; one son, Joseph (Heather) Stout of Williamstown, WV; one daughter, Katherine (Brian) Anderson of Pittsburgh, PA; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Abigail, Dylan, Madeline, Emma, Lillian, and Owen; four siblings, Mike Goddard of Proctor, WV, Mark (Darlene) Goddard of New Martinsville, WV, Denise Goddard of Columbus, OH, and Patrick (Kathy) Goddard of New Martinsville, WV, and several nieces and nephews.
