MARY SUE MAGERS

Mary Sue Magers, born on December 8, 1957, in Wheeling, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026, at Liza's Place – Valley Hospice Care Center South as the result of a tragic car accident that occurred in November 2025.

Mary was the cherished daughter of the late James and Mary (Miller) Voltz. She was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and devoted husband of 47 years, William "Bill" Magers. She is also preceded in death by her twin brother, David Voltz, and her brother, William Voltz.

Mary is survived by her loving children, Jason (Kristyn) Magers, and Amy (Josh Bogard) Magers. She was the proud grandmother of Tyler, Colton, Bransyn and Landyn, who brought immense joy to her life. Her surviving family also includes her brothers, Thomas (Nancy) Voltz, and Michael (Jackie) Voltz, as well as several nieces and nephews and Mary's beloved cats and her dog, Wilma.

Mary dedicated many years of her professional life to the Belmont County WIC Program, from which she retired. Her true passion, however, lay in her family. She was deeply involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren, always providing a calming force that kept her family grounded. Known for her sweet nature and positive outlook, Mary touched the lives of all who knew her.
