ALCINDA ‘CINDY’ SANTONAS

"Together Again"

Alcinda "Cindy" Lou Santonas, 73, of Glen Dale, WV, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2026, at WVU Medicine, Ruby Memorial Hospital. Born on October 17, 1952, Cindy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Cindy dedicated her life to her family, serving as a devoted stay-at-home mom and later extending her nurturing and loving spirit to others as an exceptional caregiver through babysitting. Her love for family was unparalleled, and she found immense joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren. Cindy's passion for nature and advocacy for all things good and right were evident in her membership with the World Wildlife Fund and her deep appreciation for the beauty and preservation of Canaan Valley.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, David Metcalfe Santonas; her parents, Gail and Betty Fox; and her parents-in-law, Bill and Bettie Lou Santonas. Cindy's legacy and love lives on through her surviving family: her children, Kate Doty, Jordan (Claire) Santonas, and Jacob (Jade) Santonas; her adored grandchildren, Delaney, Dailey, Byron, Henry, Monroe, and Sawyer; her brother, Tom (Barbara) Fox; sister in law, Mary Morris; her nieces and nephews, Chris, Carrie, Lauren, and Chris and her great-nieces and nephews, Annie, Lauren, Spencer, Adlie, and Cooper.

Cindy's life will be celebrated with a memorial visitation on Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 12 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville, WV. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and community will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
