Gary L. “Crow” Wright, age 83, of Sardis, OH, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2026, at WVU Medicine Reynolds Memorial Hospital Glen Dale, WV.
He was born December 21, 1942, in Fly, OH, a son of the late Ralph Nelson and Bessie Lucille Koher Wright.
He was a retired crane operator for the former Ormet Corp. and a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, New Martinsville, WV. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. Gary loved nature as he watched and fed the animals.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Barbara Wright; son, Vince (Julie) Wright of Columbus, OH; daughter, Diane (Don Smith) Ricer of Lewisville, OH; two stepchildren, Carla (John) Lohr of New Matamoras, OH and Connie (Bill) Orendorff of IL; seven grandchildren, Richelle (Corey) Walter, Shad Jarvis, Madison Feldhaus, Matthew Beegle, Andrew (Adrienne) Beegle, Alisha Loy and Jarron Loy; and five great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from noon until time of service at 1 p.m. at the Grisell Funeral Home, 37234 Mound St., Sardis, OH, with Pastor Eric Vincent officiating.
Interment will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery Sardis, OH.
