Gerald H. "Jerry" Burkle, age 91 of Wheeling, WV passed away August 14, 2026.
He was born on April 9, 1935 in Wheeling, WV the son of the late William H. and Adelaide A. Pockl Burkle. He retired from Western Southern Life Insurance Company. Gerald was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church and belonged to The Knights of Columbus #12195.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael W. Burkle, two sisters, Phyllis Jean Dye and Patricia E. Burkle.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Burkle; a son, David J. (Judith) Burkle; two grandchildren, David "Jack" Burkle and Laura Burkle; two sisters, Rosalie Filben and Mary Margaret Danahey; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation on Tuesday from 4-8pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 1 Ridgecrest Rd. Bethlehem/Wheeling, a Vigil Service will be held on Tuesday at 7:30pm.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11am at Our Lady of Peace, 690 Mt. Olivet Rd. Wheeling with Fr. Tijo George as celebrant.
Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.
