Tennant, Michael A., age 59, formerly of Wheeling, WV., died on July 17, 2026 in Myrtle Beach, SC. He was born on November 16, 1966 in Wheeling, as the youngest son of the late Donald J. Tennant, Sr. and Charlotte A. Tennant.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother.
Surviving is his sister now in Vero Beach FL, Terri Tennant Mulkey (Richard), and three brothers, Donald J. Tennant, Jr. (Kate) of Wheeling, David A. Tennant (Rhonda) of New Bern, NC., and Daniel S Tennant of Wheeling.
Michael played on the 1982 Post #1 State Baseball Championship Team. He graduated from Wheeling Park High School in 1985 as a three-sport letterman. He was a second team All-State Basketball Player and scored 1,227 points in is career. Legendary Coach Sam Andy was quoted in 1984 that Michael was "3-4 of the best shooters I've ever had". He was a First Team All-State Football Quarterback. He was inducted into the Wheeling Park High School Athletic Hall of Fame. He served in the US Air Force in the Phillipines. He lived and worked for more than 35 years in Myrtle Beach, SC.
A private family interment will occur at the convenience of the family at Greenwood Cemetery near his mother and father.
