In Loving Memory of Dick Aracich.
Russell Lynn "Dick" Aracich, age 77, of Woodstock, GA, passed away peacefully on August 15th, surrounded by his loved ones.
Dick was born on January 6th, 1949 in Wheeling, WV. He graduated from Wellsburg High School in 1966 and West Liberty State College in 1972 with a degree in Business Administration. He spent 30 years with Delta Dental Insurance Company, where he was Eastern Regional Vice President of Sales in Georgia and Florida.
Above all, Dick was devoted to his family. He was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, colleague, and friend. Those who knew Dick will remember his kindness, generosity, positive outlook, and, most of all, the smile that always seemed to be on his face. He loved singing, basketball, and making the people around him laugh.
Dick is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Barb (Helms) Aracich; his children, Wendy Aracich (Michael McCaw), and Holly Aracich (Leah Edwards); his grand- children, Lucas, Jackson, and Eva; his sisters Janet (Raymond) Mitchell, Jude Aracich, Karen Aracich; brothers James (Terry) Aracich, Larry (Shelley) Aracich, and Kirk Swager; sister-in-law Paula (Hal) Daugherty; brothers-in-law Dave Helms, Don (Arlene) Helms, and John (Karen) Helms; as well as cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eva (Shaffer) Swager and Frank Aracich; sister Joyce Aracich; and brothers Bud Aracich and Paul Aracich.
A graveside service and interment will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Wheeling, WV on Monday, August 24th at 12 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at the Wheeling Park White Palace Ballroom from 1-5 p.m. All are welcome.
