Together Again
Linda “Jean” Riley, age 82, of Glen Easton, WV, passed away on September 19, 2026, at her home.
She was born on January 25, 1944, in Cameron, WV, a daughter of the late Harry Bungard and Louise Gilmore Bungard. Jean was a retired cook with the Marshall County School system. She was a member of the Oak Grove United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, watching Steelers and Mountaineer football, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles A. Riley; son, Michael Riley; and sister, Wilma Carney.
She is survived by three sons, Jason Riley of Shadyside, OH, Luke (Teresa) Riley of Wheeling, WV, and Adam (Juliana) Riley of Holly Springs, NC; a daughter, Brooke (James) Lightner of Glen Dale, WV; a brother, Tom (Shirley) Bungard of Cameron; a daughter in law, Judy-Lynn Riley; grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Kimberly, Mariah, Megan, Shane, Chase, Hayden, Bowen, Riley, Austin, Sydney, Curtis, and Kirstin; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, from 4-6 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville, WV, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Don Rush officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
