Lorna Rebecca (Eller) Miller (95 years old) of Proctor, WV passed into eternal life on Sunday, August 30, 2026, in her home. She was born May 12, 1931, in Proctor, WV. A daughter of the late Okey & Gay (Ferrell) Eller.
Lorna was a 1949 graduate of Magnolia High School. Then was employed by C & P telephone company as a switchboard operator for three years, and during this time Lorna married John B. Miller on June 7, 1952. They moved to Panama while John served in the U.S.A.F. On their return to the U.S. they resided in St. Joseph Settlement in Proctor. Lorna & John were active members of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
John proceeded her in death on June 12, 2020, after 68 years of marriage.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by one son Robin S. Miller, one grandson Robin Anthony Miller and daughter-in-law Catherine (Palavido) Miller, siblings Lemoyne Eller, Glenda (Eller) Kaufman and Jack Eller.
Survivors include two sons John Michael Miller, Thomas (Martha-Kay) Miller, two daughters Laura (Deacon Bill) Watzek, Cynthia (Paul) Fox, daughter-in-law Erin Miller, and one brother Robert Eller, sisters-in-law Jean Eller and Glenda J. Miller. Fifteen grandchildren: Logan Miller, Ethan (Rebbecca Fehr) Miller, Christopher Miller, Shannon (Michael) Mosley, John-Paul Miller, Samuel Miller, Jessica (Todd Howard) Watzek, James (Kimberly) Watzek, Heath (Sarita) Fox, Alanna Fox, Devann Fox, Garrett Fox, Haley Miller, Conor Miller, and Riley Miller. Thirteen great-grand children: Kade Miller, Makayla (Bradley) Smith, Morgan Mosely, Makenzie Mosely, Laura Schaffer, Emily- Iva Schaffer, Zachary Watzek, Brody Watzek, Aurora Fox, Carina Fox, Violet Fox, Alayna Fehr and Emily Fehr. Three great-great grandchildren: Addison Smith, Peyton Smith, Adrienne Lewis as well as several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory 751 Third St. New Martinsville, WV, where vigil devotions will be cited at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church 65 Frohnapfel Lane Proctor, WV, with Fr. Abraham Puthiaparampil Schariah as celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
