Margaret C. Clegg, 94, of New Martinsville, WV, was reunited with the love of her life on Saturday, September 19, 2026, while at The Arbors in Woodsfield, OH.
Margaret was born August 9, 1932, in Paden City, WV, daughter of the late Daniel B. and Mazie (Roberts) Cecil.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed it very much, Margaret enjoyed working the Election polls, working at her sister's shop Little Green Acres; member of the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion and Steelton church of Christ where she enjoyed singing hymns.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Clegg; daughter, Sherry Starkey; infant son, Montey Ray Clegg; brothers, Bud Cecil, Woodrow Cecil and Thomas Cecil; sisters, Flo Murphy, Ruth Gardy, Madeline Holman, Helen Burgess and Jean Anderson and two infant siblings.
Surviving are her two sons, Charles (Mary) Clegg of New Martinsville, WV, and Robin J. (Debbie) Clegg of Okeechobee, FL; four grandchildren, Roger (Jacque) Clegg, Jeremiah (Jennifer) Clegg, Olivia (Matt) Bartic and Jody (Ryan) Shaw; 11 great grandchildren, Drew (Emma), Abby (Sydney), Carter, Liza, Cameron, Justin, Mea, Jude, Madison, Charlotte and Anneliese; four great-great grandchildren, Jack, Landon, Makayla and McKenzie; son-in-law, J. Michael Starkey of Sistersville, WV; special friends, Don and Billie Dillaman and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received noon until time of service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Jarvis Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S. Bridge St., New Martinsville, WV, with Ed Melott officiating burial to follow in Northview Cemetery in New Martinsville, WV.
