Robert H. "Bobby" Bell, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026, at the age of 74, at Liza's Place.
Born on August 25, 1952, in Wheeling, West Virginia, Bobby was the cherished son of the late Harold and Genevieve Bell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kristine Bell, and his sister, Celeste Barton.
Bobby proudly served his country in the United States Army, a testament to his dedication and love for his nation. Following his service, he worked as a custodian for Ohio County Schools at Woodsdale and Ritchie Elementary, where he was known for his hard work and friendly demeanor.
A man of many interests, Bobby found joy in gardening, cooking, and music. He was an animal lover. He was an avid sports enthusiast and cherished the time spent with his family, especially as a loving "Pappy" to his granddaughter, Shae.
Bobby is survived by his children, Robert (Danielle) Bell, and Haley (Natally) Wotkowski, who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. He also leaves behind his granddaughter, "Pappy's Girl", Shaelynn Grace, and his brother, Roger (Carla) Bell, along with several nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Wheeling Chapel, located at 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling, WV. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and again from 6 p.m. until the time of Military Honors at 8 p.m.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate employees at Valley Hospice, Liza's Place, for their exceptional care and support during Bobby's final days.
Bobby's legacy of kindness, love, and resilience will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
