Susan Bertus Findling, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2026, at home, surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard Bertus and JoAnn LaCross Bertus; her sister, Teri Bertus McClure; and her brother-in-law, Richard Taylor.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Jeff Findling; her sons, Dr. Jeff Findling Jr. and wife Rachel, Mike Findling, and Seth Findling and wife Alaura; and her six beloved grandchildren, Mykenzie, Jonas, Ronin, Remy, JJ, and Cross.
She is also survived by her brother, Bernard Bertus Jr. and wife Debbie; her sister, Brenda Bertus Kiely and husband Jeff; her brother-in-law, Matthew McClure; and her sister-in-law, Brenda Taylor.
Her nieces and nephews include Dr. Bryce McClure and wife Angela, Tyler McClure and wife Nicole, Jeffrey Kiely, Daniel Kiely, Will Kiely and wife Rachel, Beau Bertus and wife Samantha, Devon Bertus, and Dr. Brooke Bertus and husband Clark.
She was also a loving great-aunt to Michael Eli, Mason, Ledger, Martha, and Beckett.
Susan devoted her life to her family and her faith in God. Her family was her greatest joy, and she loved them deeply and unconditionally. She will be remembered for her loving heart, her devotion to those she loved, and the beautiful memories she created with her family.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass Memorial will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Wellsburg, WV with Father Justin Golna as Celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, please no flowers family is requesting to make donations to your favorite charity in Susan's Memory.
A Special Thanks to the Teramana Cancer Center and Valley Hospice for the excellent care given to Susan.
Susan will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
