Genelda M. Mason, 96, of New Martinsville, WV took the next step on her journey on Thursday, October 15, 2026 while at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Genelda was born May 14, 1930, in New Martinsville, WV daughter of the late Thomas F. and Deliah (Lemasters) Rine.
She was a homemaker, enjoying gardening and canning. Genelda loved spending time with her family and she was a member of the Antioch Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wells Junior Mason; son, Wayne "Pappy" Mason and granddaughters, Jill C. Mason and Heather Crook Shultz; son-in-law, William Hamlin and two sisters, Ilene Haudenschilt and Shirley Durig.
Surviving are her two children, Linda Hamlin of St. Clairsville, OH and Roger (Regina) Mason, Proctor, WV; daughter-in-law, Judy Mason seven grandchildren, Drew (Crissy Mace) Mason, Aimee (Tim) Carpenter, Rebecca Crook, Melinda Crook, Craig (Meredith) Mason, Rachel (Cindy Carmichael) Mason and Eric (Brittany) Mason; sixteen great grandchildren, Brandon Mason, Faith Richter, Wilson Richter, Wyatt Mason, Conner Carpenter, Emaline Richter, Reagan Mason, Tucker Mason, Finley Schultz, Aviah Crook-Roby, Kyle Mason, Laura Mason, Audrey Mason, Claire Mason, Quinn Mason and John Mace and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday, October 19, 2026 at the Jarvis Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, where funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 20, 2026 with Lemoyne Horner officiating. Burial to follow in the Fitzsimmons Cemetery on Doolin Run Road.
