Julie Lynn Scott, 50, of Benwood, passed away on October 5, 2026 in Select Specialty Hospital, Wheeling.
She was born July 9, 1976 in Wheeling, WV; the daughter of the late Charles Mical “Scotty” and Sharon Mathys Scott.
Julie enjoyed attending church and spending time with her friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Mical Lars Scott, her paternal grandparents, Wilford and Harriett Scott, her maternal grandparents Page and Dorothy Mathys, and one aunt, Kathleen Moore.
Survivors include her aunts, Lori (Larry) Oaks, Debra (Scott) Moore, Donna Taylor and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her close friends Mary Sue Szymialis and Maxine Szymialis.
Family will receive friends on Sunday from 1-3pm at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10am at St Alphonsus Catholic Church, 2111 Market St., Wheeling, with Fr. Clifton Mastran as celebrant.
Interment will be held at Halcyon Hills Memorial Park.
