Mary Elizabeth Wiles Mueller, age 97, of Wheeling, West Virginia, peacefully passed away on October 18, 2026, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home. Born on March 19, 1929, in Wheeling, Mary lived a life marked by dedication, faith, and service to others.
Mary was a devoted Administrative Assistant at The Health Plan, whose hard work and commitment defined her professional life until her well-deserved retirement in 1985.
A woman of deep faith, Mary was a steadfast member of St. Michael Catholic Church and actively participated in the Christian Mothers/Women ministry at St. Michael Parish. She extended her compassion beyond the church through her dedicated volunteer service with the Auxiliary of Wheeling Hospital, touching countless lives with her kindness and generosity.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving parents, Charles M. and Anna Waldvogle Wiles; her beloved husband, Robert G. Mueller; four brothers; and one sister. She is lovingly remembered by her two children, Kathleen A. Mueller of Pittsburgh, PA, and Matthew R. Mueller of Coraopolis, PA, along with many nieces and nephews who cherished her presence in their lives.
In honor of Mary's wishes, there will be no public services. A private entombment will be held at Mount Calvary Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum at the convenience of the family.
