Rudy T. Yarnevic, born on April 23, 1947, in Wheeling, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2026, at the age of 79, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
Rudy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Elizabeth (Nolte) Yarnevic, and his parents, Rudolph and Phyllis (Nichols) Yarnevic, Sr.
A proud graduate of Union High School, Rudy enjoyed comradery at the Marshall Club of Benwood. His career as a Weights and Measures Inspector with the State of West Virginia was marked by integrity, knowledge, and commitment to public service.
Rudy was a man of diverse interests. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed playing pool and had a deep appreciation for local, national, and world history. He also loved country music, especially The Wheeling Jamboree.
Rudy was a Catholic by faith, finding strength and solace in his beliefs throughout his life.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday, October 15th, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Wheeling Chapel. A private interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Wheeling, WV. www.AltmeyerFuneralHomes.com
