Russel Raymond Becker, 79, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at home.
He was born January 8, 1947, in Wheeling, son of the late Russel A. and Gertrude Rickus Becker.
Russel was a sales clerk for Lou W. Nau Plumbing for 35 years, a lifelong member of St. Michael Catholic Church and a car enthusiast since he was a young boy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David A. Becker; and brother-in-law, Donald Gaus.
He is survived by his sister, Judy Gaus; nephews, Donald R. Gaus, Gary (Karla) Gaus, Bryan (Danielle) Gaus and Adam (Cynthia) Becker; niece, Renee Becker; sister-in-law, Mary Becker; and numerous great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will be received Monday, October 12, 2026 from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St., Wheeling (304-242-2311). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at 10 AM at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1225 National Rd., Wheeling, with Father Rex Marfil as celebrant.
Interment to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
