Mary Lou DeFillippo, age 95, passed away at Cumberland Pointe Care Center, St. Clairsville, Ohio, on January 16, 2025. She was a true West Virginian, born Mary Lou Feinler in Wheeling May, 25 1929 and lived there all her life. Mary Lou attended Wheeling High School, then went on to graduate summa cum laude from West Liberty University. She taught first grade until her husband, Samuel DeFillippo, was appointed Principal of Wheeling Park High School, at which time she retired to avoid any conflict of interest.
