He was born April 3, 1942 in Wileyville, WV, a son of the late Lawrence Richard Young and Sarah Bernita Dakan Young. Larry retired from the former Union Carbide as an Instrument Technician. John David Palimetakis, 93, of New Bern, NC, died Monday, October 2, 2023. He was born April 30, 1930 in Windsor Heights, WV, son of the late John and Julia Palimetakis. John was a 1948 graduate of Wheeling High School. In the same year, he enlisted in the US Air Force and served for four years in the Aleutian Islands.
