Charles “Charlie” Oren Friend Sr., 82, of Moundsville, WV, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, with family by his side at Wheeling Hospital - WVU. He was born September 10, 1943 in Wheeling, the son of the late Oren Elwood and Virginia Mae (Nickerson) Friend. Charlie proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army, carrying with him the discipline and camaraderie of his service throughout his life.
