He was born October 15, 1938, in Martins Ferry, the son of the late Charles R. and Irene R. (Miller) Brothers. Paul Edward Wetzel, 76, of Bridgeport, OH, died Monday, January 12, 2026 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born May 19, 1949, son of the late James and Mary Fitzsimmons Wetzel. Paul was a US Army veteran and served in the Vietnam War. He was a devout Catholic, attending services at St. Michael’s and St. Joseph’s. He worked at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel as a steel worker for over 20 years and was a member of the VFW and American Legion Post 1. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.
