Patrick Howard Hersey Sr., 78, of Martins Ferry, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, in Park Health Center, St. Clairsville, Ohio. He was born March 17, 1947, in Wheeling, West Virginia, a son of the late George W. Hersey and Gladys Bierkortte Hersey. Patrick was the former President of the St. Clair Oil Company in St. Clairsville. He was a member of the Flushing Racing Pigeon’s Club. She was born in Martins Ferry, OH on August 27, 1934, the daughter of the late Harry and Edith (Loy) Dennis. Martha graduated from Martins Ferry High School and moved to West Alexander upon her marriage to her first husband, L.D. Curtis, in 1957. They were divorced in 1974 and she was then married to J.
