Whether you’re looking for an energy rush to help you beat other shoppers to Black Friday bargains or are hoping to take a break from the hustle and bustle, there are numerous stops at the Ohio Valley Mall, as well as at The Highlands in Ohio County, where one can indulge themselves.

At the mall in St. Clairsville, Fabio’s Pizza offers many pies with a variety of toppings and crusts. Included among these are barbecue, Hawaiian and supreme pizzas.

“We’ll be open and cooking,” Fabio’s employee Candy Basil said.

Across the corridor, one will find the Auntie Anne’s Pretzel shop, where employees Carol Day, Mindy Lab and Mashae Anderson can give you a sweet, or salty, treat.

In the middle of the mall, Kat McConnell can sell you fresh cookies at the Great American Cookie shop.

“We’ve got all kinds,” she said, highlighting chocolate chip, peanut butter and other varieties.

Other restaurant options at or near the mall include McDonald’s, Starbucks, KFC, Chipotle, Longhorn, Osaka Japanese Steakhouse, Panera, Garfield’s, Bob Evans and Cracker Barrel.

Across Interstate 70 at the Ohio Valley Plaza, one will find Red Lobster, Outback, Applebee’s, Taco Bell, Burger King, Wendy’s, Eat ‘N’ Park, Denny’s and Arby’s.

At The Highlands, one will find the Eat ‘N’ Park, Cheddars, Applebee’s, Cold Stone Creamery, El Paso, Fusion, Logan’s Roadhouse, Texas Roadhouse, McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Olive Garden, Panera, Primanti Bros., Quaker Steak and Lube, Subway and Starbucks.

You can indulge more than just your palate, however, while chasing those Black Friday bargains. You might even want to take advantage of those holiday sales to buy something special for yourself.

If you start to feel worn out while shopping, take a seat in one of the massage chairs found in the Ohio Valley Mall concourses or consider a stop at a spa or salon. A pedicure can soothe your aching feet and re-energize you for the remainder of your shopping day. Other spa and salon services, such as a shave, haircut or manicure, can help you look and feel your best, motivating you for the task ahead.

At the Ohio Valley Mall, visit Escape Spa & Nails, Mastercuts or Regis Salon. Secret Serenity Spa is not far away in downtown St. Clairsville, and Abbronzare is even closer, located on Stewart Drive.

For entertainment at the mall, one could play games at Tilt, watch a movie at Carmike Cinemas or participate in a round of miniature golf at Perry’s Glo Putt.

At The Highlands, one can watch a film at Marquee Cinemas, or explore exhibits based on global wildlife habitats at Cabela’s.
