MORGANTOWN — West Virginia coach Dana Holgorsen isn’t worried about quarterback Will Grier being overwhelmed by the attention and pressure that comes with being a Heisman Trophy candidate. Grier has thrown far too many passes. Played in far too many games. Diagnosed far too many defenses ...
MORGANTOWN — No. 12 West Virginia (3-0, 1-0 Big 12) has been looking for more turnovers from its defense after forcing one in wins over the University of Tennessee (40-14) and Youngstown State (52-17). After the first 30 minutes of action in Saturday’s Big 12 opener against Kansas State, Tony Gibson’s unit continue to have that single turnover. Now, after Hurricane Florence forced the cancellation of last weekend’s game at N.C. State, Grier and the rest of No. 12 ranked West Virginia will get their first taste of Big 12 ...

MANHATTAN, Kansas — Veteran Kansas State coach Bill Snyder won’t talk comparisons when his unranked (2-1) Wildcats invade Milan Puskar Stadium for a 3:30 p.m. showdown with No. 12 West Virginia (2-0). “I think West Virginia does a wonderful job doing what they do, and we need to do a better job of doing what we do,” Snyder said during Monday’s Big 12 Teleconference. “Everything I see in their offense, I see in our offense.” A fact which stands out when one looks at last year’s clash at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. Playing in front of 51,233 fans, Snyder’s team rushed ...
